Read: Pilgrimage to National Eucharistic Congress | A Special Invitation from Bishop Earl Boyea

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This summer marks a historic event in the life of the Church in the United States: the first National Eucharistic Congress in 86 years! It will take place in Indianapolis in Indiana from July the 17th to the 21st. I plan to be there and invite you to join me. Why?

Because this gathering will be not just a meeting of people for some inspiring speeches, but an assembling of people from every corner of our nation, praying that the Lord will send forth a blazing fire of renewed zeal for his Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist.

Imagine standing amidst 80,000 fellow Christians, surrounded by the warmth of shared fidelity of people who are wholly given to the Lord, united in faith, and devotion to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament!

This Congress isn't merely an event; it’s an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the Lord’s Presence, to renew our commitment to the Eucharist, the very heart of our faith. Through prayer, reflection, and fellowship, we will open ourselves to divine grace, allowing the Lord to work within us, transforming our spirits and guiding our paths.

So let us come together, not as individuals, but as a community of believers, ready to be moved, inspired, and forever changed by the power of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. For in this sacred gathering, we find not just an event, but a gateway to spiritual renewal and transformation.

Join your fellow pilgrims from the Diocese of Lansing at the National Eucharistic Congress.

Assuring you of my prayers, I am sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Earl Boyea

Bishop of Lansing
