Administrative Assistant

Coordinator of Hispanic-Latino Ministry

Diocese of Lansing Central Office, Lansing

The Diocese of Lansing is accepting applications for the Coordinator of Hispanic-Latino Ministry.  The primary function of the Coordinator of Hispanic-Latino Ministry is to facilitate opportunities and leverage resources to foster spiritual formation and the full participation of the Hispanic-Latino community in the life of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Lansing. The Coordinator serves as a resource to assist with forming leaders and as a key communicator to build relationships and promote greater understanding and unity. The Coordinator represents the Hispanic-Latino Community on the diocesan level and is a link in strengthening a universal approach in the inclusion of Hispanic-Latino people in the Church.

Organist

St. Pius X Parish, Flint

St. Pius X parish in Flint is seeking an organist to assist with the weekly Masses.  Responsibilities would include playing for up to 3 Masses per weekend, a weekly school Mass during the academic year, and funerals and weddings as they arise.  Catholic applicants are preferred, or at least those who are very familiar with the Mass.  Applicants must be proficient in playing the organ.

Part Time Counselor

Preschool Teacher Assistant

Resurrection Little Shamrocks Preschool is seeking an energetic and nurturing person to work with three, four and five year-olds in our afternoon preschool program.

Faith Based Mental Health Therapist 

St Vincent Catholic Charities, Lansing 

The faith based mental health therapist will provide clinical service and needed related services for clients who are requesting Catholic-based counseling services. This position will be filled by a faithful Catholic who is fully qualified to provide outstanding clinical and related services, and who will, where appropriate, ground the interventions and desired outcomes in Catholic values, as expressed in Scripture, in the Catechism, and elsewhere in teachings of the Catholic Church.  The mental health therapist will work, where appropriate, in a consultative relationship with a deacon and/or spiritual director to include Catholic spirituality in treating the whole person.   

Therapist must be a practicing Catholic with a clear understanding of Catholic teachings.

Assistant Teacher

Choral directing experience;
Experience in keyboard performance;

Duties include:
Lead music for all Saturday liturgies (piano/organ, choral or other music);
Plan and select all music for Saturday liturgies;
Identify, recruit, develop and utilize volunteer musical talent within the parish;
Secure substitute musicians during absence of assistant music director, and notify bookkeeper in advance of absence;
Hire professional musicians as appropriate, and within the parameters of the parish music budget;  Rehearse and prepare cantors in advance of liturgies;
Schedule weekly weeknight rehearsals (cantors, schola);
Coordinate overall music schedule within the liturgical year in consultation with the music director and pastor.
