Upper-Elementary Science / Math/Social Studies Teacher

Director of Religious Education

St. Mary Parish, Williamston

St. Mary Parish in Williamston is accepting applications for the Director of Religious Education.  The DRE ministers to the families of the parish by supervising the religious education program. The religious education program is part of the parish school of religion and serves preschool – 6th grade students. We are looking for a joy filled disciple with a passion for the Catholic faith able to meet the demands of working in a fast paced ministry environment and able to connect with everyone who comes into our church. Responsibilities include:   

  1. Work as part of the parish leadership team with the pastor, pastoral associate, youth minister, CGS director, and coordinator of evangelization.
  2. Direct the religious education program on Sunday morning. Includes supervising sacramental preparation for Reconciliation and First Communion, and assisting with liturgical celebrations and sacramental rites for students.
  3. Recruit and train catechists. Organize class schedules and rosters for catechists.
  4. Process and maintain records, files, and registration forms for the religious education program. Verify, record, and transfer sacramental information. Assist the CGS leadership in nos. 3 and 4.
  5. Implement diocesan and parish catechetical policies and guidelines, including catechist certification and policies related to the protection of children and youth.
  6. Counsel, advise, and meet with students, parents, and teachers when problems arise in the classroom.
  7. Prepare mailings & order supplies for office and catechists.
  8. Assist in the collection of tuition and fees for religious education programs.
  9. Serve as a substitute teacher and facilitator for the religious education program when needed. Assist during major projects and programs such as vacation Bible school.
  10. Post information on the parish website, Facebook, and other social media spots.
  11. Keep office, library, and supply rooms clean, organized, and well stocked.
  12. Attend relevant staff and diocesan meetings.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Theology or Catechetics, or Pastoral Ministry, along with Catechist.   Need to have experience in the development of parish-based evangelization.  Must be a faithful, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and an intentional Disciple of Jesus Christ.

Director of Evangelization and Discipleship Formation

St Joseph Parish and St Mary of Good Counsel Parish, Adrian

St. Joseph Parish and St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish (located one mile apart from each other in Adrian) with a total of about 1,600 registered households, are seeking to hire together a minister in charge of developing a single vibrant evangelization and discipleship formation program for adults and students/youth.  The Director of Evangelization and Discipleship Formation ministry is a full-time, salaried pastoral ministry position and includes a benefits package.  The ministry will include routine day, evening, and weekend commitments.  This minister will be under the supervision of the Pastors of both St. Joseph and St. Mary Parishes, work with the staff members of both parishes, and serve the parishioners of both parishes.

Sacramental Preparation Coordinator

St Joseph Parish and St Mary of Good Counsel Parish, Adrian

St. Joseph Parish and St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish (located one mile apart from each other in Adrian) with a total of about 1,600 registered households, are seeking to hire together a minister responsible for the preparation of adults (R.C.I.A.) and youth/children (sacramental catechesis) for the sacraments of initiation; the recording of sacramental data; and the recording of training.  Sacramental Preparation Coordinator’s ministry is a part-time position that will include routine evening, and occasional weekend commitments, and increased hours during peak sacramental periods (Lent/Easter).  This minister will be under the supervision of the Pastors of both St. Joseph and St. Mary Parishes, work with the staff members of both parishes, serve the parishioners of both parishes, and be the pastors’ liaison to the Diocese of Lansing regarding matters related to recording sacramental data, and maintaining records related to the diocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection.

Part Time Music Director

Part Time Coordinator of Youth Ministry

St. Francis Xavier parish in Otisville, Michigan is looking for a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry.

The position involves working with the youth at St. Francis Xavier. The candidate should be energetic, and enthusiastic, invested in helping implement Bishop Boyea's call for New Evangelization.

This part-time 19 hour a week position has flexible hours which would include working some weekends and evenings. Coordinating Youth Group Meetings, Confirmation Preparation, planning Retreats, Service projects, and other youth and middle school activities are all parts of this job. Working in tandem with our DRE to support and grow an already active and established youth group is a must.

Possession of a Master’s Degree or better in secondary educational administration, educational leadership or a similar field; 
 
Possession of a currently valid Michigan teaching certificate; Evidence of successful secondary classroom teaching experience and successful experience in school leadership; 
 
Active, practicing Catholic, outstanding for their doctrine and witness of Christian living. Candidates must exhibit a lifestyle that is compatible with Catholic moral values and professional conduct consistent with Catholic teaching. Candidates must demonstrate a Catholic heart and a love of teaching and learning, and be willing and able to blend these two qualities as a school leader.
 

Retreat Center Coordinator

Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center, Freemont, OH

Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center is accpeting applicaitons for a Retreat Center Coordinater.  The RETREAT COORDINATOR’S primary responsibilities include:

In-house coordination, implementation, and resourcing of all retreat and spirituality programs;
Outreach contacts and programming;
Maintaining a regular program of spiritual development with contracted spiritual directors           

REQUIREMENTS: 
Personal initiative in utilizing independent judgment and discretion in programming;
Keeping the Center alive and active with programs of interest that are in keeping with the Mission Statement of Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center;
