Part Time Communication Coordinator

St. Joseph Parish, Howell

The Communications Coordinator at St. Joseph Parish will coordinate multiple levels of communication. This includes designing and administering the parish website, posting to social media platforms, parish newsletters and bulletins, parish calendar and mailings. Part Time Bookkeeper

St. Joseph Parish, Howell

The Bookkeeper at St. Joseph Parish will assist the Business Manager and parish ministries with bookkeeping duties to ensure proper procedure are followed and records are maintained according to Diocesan policy.  This position is responsible for processing the accounts payable function, check preparation and filing.  The Bookkeeper will oversee volunteers who count the Sunday collection, ensuring proper procedures are followed. Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining the parish data base including posting contribution records, new parishioner registrations and thank you/donation letters.  In addition this position will process the parish weekly deposit ensuring things are recorded and proper policy is followed. Director of RCIA, Youth/Children Catechesis

St Joseph Parish and St Mary of Good Counsel Parish, Adrian

St. Joseph Parish and St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish, located one mile apart from each other in Adrian, Michigan, with a total of approximately 1,600 registered households, are seeking to hire together a minister responsible for the preparation of adults (R.C.I.A.) and youth/children (sacramental catechesis) for the sacraments of initiation; the recording of sacramental data; and the recording of training.  The Sacramental Preparation Coordinator's ministry is a part-time position that will include routine evening, and occasional weekend commitments, and increased hours during peak  sacramental periods (Lent/Easter).  This minister will be under the supervision of the Pastors of St. Joseph's and St. Mary's Parishes, work with the staff members of both parishes, serve the parishioners of both parishes, and be the pastors' liaison to the diocese regarding matters related to recording sacramental data, and maintaining records related to the diocesan office of child and youth protection.

Ministry related to adults includes coordinating a single Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) program for both parishes (with liturgical rites taking place at both parishes), empowering a team of volunteer ministers to assist with the R.C.I.A. program (team leaders, sponsors), and recording the appropriate data in each of the parishes sacramental registers.

Ministry related to children/youth includes coordinating infant baptism preparation classes, empowering volunteer ministers to carry out these classes; and preparing students and parents for first Reconciliation, first Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Preferred candidates will have experience working in a parish catechetical program, or Catholic education; good organizational skills; excellent verbal and written skills; team building and team working skills; and good canonical standing with the Catholic Church.  Ideal candidates will have some command of Spanish and comfort working with Latino Catholic culture.

Tribunal Judge

Diocese of Lansing, Lansing

The Diocese of Lansing is accepting applications for the position of Tribunal Judge.  This position works closely with the Judicial Vicar and other members of the Diocesan Tribunal to instruct and complete matrimonial cases in a timely manner and to research and prepare a report on other canonical issues, as they arise.  This canonist will be expected to hold the office of Judge and to act professionally, confidentially, and ethically in this office.  Collaboration and teamwork are valued, as is a willingness to take on other canonical duties as needed.  It is also necessary to be able to respond rationally and calmly to questions or complaints raised by the parties in nullity cases.  

The position is full time (40 hours/week) in a Tribunal that intakes between 250 and 275 cases per year. Job Description:

Cultivates positive relationships with corporations, foundations and individual donors.

Coordinates through the use of a fund-raising matrix, dates for all fund-raising activities conducted by the school, school organizations or the Advancement Office.

Plans and implements as part of the overall development plan, with input from the President/Principal and Board Development Committee, a comprehensive annual giving campaign to secure significant funding for the school. 

Identifies, recruits, trains and supervises volunteers and volunteer teams to assist with the implementation of various aspects of the development program.

Serves as ex-officio staff to the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees and meets regularly with them providing professional leadership and direction and supporting the committee’s efforts. 

Develops strategies and timelines for building a comprehensive, sustainable major gifts program to support future fund-raising and capital campaigns (major gifts = >$5000).

Prepares and monitors, with assistance from the President, the Development Committee of the Board and the Director of Finance, the annual advancement budget. 

Oversees the management of computerized prospect and donor files and related information through the Database Manager.

Assures that all fund-raising adheres to federal and state guidelines for auctions, raffles, in-kind gifts and acknowledgement of gifts for tax purposes. 

Oversees the annual giving telethon and other campaign events.

Oversees the alumni giving phase through the Alumni Director.

Hold special events in conjunction with the annual giving campaign in conjunction with the Special Events Manager.

Supervises acknowledgement of gifts and record keeping through the Advancement Office staff.

Recommends employment and retention of Advancement Office personnel to the President.

Supervises and evaluates the performance of Advancement Office personnel in consultation with the President. 

Submits regular reports to the President and Board showing results vs. goals and costs vs. budget for the advancement program. 

Upholds and models a moral code which is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the mission of the school. 

Ensures that all development programs and fund-raising practices reflect the Catholic mission of the school.

Keeps abreast of current institutional advancement/development practices, strategies and tools through professional reading and training.   

Plans and implements with input from the President and Board Development Committee, and Alumni Director, a comprehensive program of outreach to the school’s alumni as part of the overall comprehensive advancement/development plan, designed to involve the alumni in the ongoing life of the school and to elicit significant funding for the school from alumni. 

Supervises, evaluates the performance of the Alumni Director in consultation with the President.

Coordinates with the Director of Admissions all marketing publications for student recruitment for consistency of design and message.

Attends school events and is involved in the life of the school and is aware of school accomplishments and challenges. 

Attends Board meetings at the request of the President to provide information and act as a resource person for pertinent agenda items. 

Represents the school and the Advancement Office as assigned by the President at appropriate meetings and events.

Seeks always to position the President as the chief executive officer and spokesperson for the school. 

Submits to an annual performance evaluation by the President. 

Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

Part-Time Third Grade Teacher

Part Time Coordinator of Youth Ministry

St. Francis Xavier parish in Otisville, Michigan is looking for a part-time Coordinator of Youth Ministry.

The position involves working with the youth at St. Francis Xavier. The candidate should be energetic, and enthusiastic, invested in helping implement Bishop Boyea's call for New Evangelization.

This part-time 19 hour a week position has flexible hours which would include working some weekends and evenings. Coordinating Youth Group Meetings, Confirmation Preparation, planning Retreats, Service projects, and other youth and middle school activities are all parts of this job. Working in tandem with our DRE to support and grow an already active and established youth group is a must.
