Prisoner Outreach Ministry

The Office of Prisoner Outreach Ministry is committed to serving all people in prison or jail, within our diocese through Christian principals by our Catholic priests, deacons, and lay people. The office also provides assistance to those who are released into our communities and seek to reestablish themselves into everyday patterns of life and work. We help direct them to the appropriate resources and Catholic Charity Agencies in the various counties of the Diocese of Lansing.

If you would like to volunteer to write to those imprisoned, everyone that participates is on a first-name basis ONLY.  Please feel free to contact Deacon Ken Preiss at kpreiss@dioceseoflansing.org or find in the "Resource" section of this page and download the application and guidelines.  *Important Note: You would remain anonymous in this letter writing. Please read over the guidelines.
