Watch this amazing short film, below, capturing the lives of four men from the Diocese of Lansing who are privileged to live, work, and study in Rome.
They are Father Dan Westermann, who recently took up the post as Spiritual Director at the Pontifical North American College, plus three of the college’s students: Joseph Kelly from Saint John the Baptist in Ypsilanti; Matthew Wilson from Saint Mary in Williamston; and the Reverend Thomas Crowley from Church of the Resurrection in Lansing. The film follows Deacon Crowley on the day of his ordination to the diaconate at Saint Peter’s Basilica on October 1.
“It’s just such a unique privilege being over here,” says Father Westermann. “You’re at the heart of the Church. You’re walking in the footsteps of the saints. You know, you’re walking on the same cobblestones that Peter and Paul walked on 2,000 years ago.”
The film was produced, shot, and edited by the Diocese of Lansing’s award-winning Senior Multimedia Producer, Matt Riedl.
