Photo of Sr. Solana

Sister Solana grew up in Canton, Michigan, and was deeply influenced by her parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel and the preaching of Fr. John Riccardo, which helped her fall in love with Jesus. Raised with a strong devotion to Blessed Solanus Casey, passed down through her Polish immigrant grandparents, she entrusted her vocational discernment to his intercession. While studying at Michigan State University on a pre-veterinary track, she began discerning religious life and lived in the Diocese of Lansing's Emmaus house. After graduating, she served the poor in Detroit, frequently praying and volunteering at the Solanus Casey Center. Through spiritual guidance and a profound call experienced in prayer, she entered religious life and took the name Solana, reflecting both her devotion to Solanus Casey and her desire to radiate Christ’s joy and light

Sr. Philomena Clare grew up in a vibrant Catholic family and homeschooling community in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was formed in a deep love for Jesus and inspired early by the joyful witness of consecrated women. As a teenager, she first responded to God’s call to religious life and continued to seek His will with sincerity and openness. Through profound experiences in prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and spiritual surrender, she came to understand not only her love for God but His deep love for her. With the intercession of Sts. Philomena and Clare, the Lord clearly invited her to “choose the better part.” After discerning through prayer, retreats, and visits to religious communities, she entered religious life on August 11, 2013, joyfully giving her yes to Christ and continuing her formation and discernment within her community.
