Watch: Brides of Christ & Faithful Daughters of Saint Dominic

Happy Feast of Saint Dominic! And special congratulations to Sister James Karol Griesho O.P. and Sister Josefa Langhals O.P. who both took their final vows with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, July 29, at Christ the King parish in Ann Arbor. Ad multos annos! Watch this short film below to witness the occasion.

The Dominican Order, also known as the Order of Preachers, was founded by Spanish priest, Saint Dominic de Guzmán, in 1216. The order is known for its focus on preaching, intellectual pursuits, and its unique synthesis of contemplative and active life.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, were founded in 1997 by four members of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia in Nashville, Tennessee. The Ann Arbor-based order now has over 150 sisters. Deo gratias.
