Monday of the Fourth Week of Easter
Dear friends,
It is in meeting the person of Jesus Christ that we begin to discover our deepest happiness, meaning, and peace in this life and the next. But how do we most readily grow in intimacy with Our Lord? The answer: by encountering Him in the Holy Eucharist.
In fact, the Second Vatican Council (1962-65) teaches that "The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life." (Lumen Gentium, #11).
That is why I am inviting you and your family to join me for Holy Mass at the Lugnuts Baseball Stadium in Lansing at 10am on Saturday, June 21, the eve of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
This will be followed by a Eucharistic Procession through the streets of our state capital concluding at Saint Mary Cathedral.
Afterwards, pilgrims will have the opportunity to celebrate this great feast with some food and fellowship on the Capitol Lawn and Adado Riverfront Park.
Just click here to RSVP. I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 21!
I am, your sincerely in Christ,
+ Earl Boyea
Bishop of Lansing
