Pentecost Sunday, May 23, 2021, will see Bishop Earl Boyea’s dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days expire across the Diocese of Lansing.
To encourage the lay faithful to prayerfully return to Sunday Mass, Bishop Boyea is gifting every family in the diocese a blessed candle representing the Light of the World, Jesus Christ. That's approximately 65,000 candles!
We caught up with Alan Olsen and Jeff Ruddock of the Diocese of Lansing's Building and Property Department as they made the final deliveries to parishes ahead of this weekend's great return.
