Bishop Boyea has announced a new Diocese of Lansing initiative called FAITH in Flint. At a May 28 press conference in Flint at the Sr. Claudia Burke Center for Hope, local Catholic leaders and members of the media from around mid-Michigan gathered to learn how the Catholic presence in the city is working to relieve suffering on the part of those who struggle with poverty. In addition to Bishop Boyea, featured speakers included Rev. Tom Firestone, Pastor of St John Vianney Parish, Flint, and Vicky Schultz, President and CEO of Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties.
