Friday in the Octave of Easter

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

This week On the Road to Emmaus we pause for a burst of Eucharistic inspiration.

At last weekend’s Easter vigil approximately 620 men, women and children became Catholic across the Diocese of Lansing. That's the highest number of converts in a decade and up over 30% compared to last year. To each of those new Catholics I say: Welcome to the Body of Christ! This is just the start of great things!

Among their number was the Campbell family who were received into the Church at Saint Mary in Charlotte. A photograph of them is above. That’s dad Cody and mom Kirsten with their four children, left to right, 16-year-old Ryleigh; 7-year-old Elijah; 12-year-old Cadyn; and 14-year-old Khloe.

So, what led the Campbell family into the Church? Watch this short but inspirational film below to find out. I hope you enjoy it. I think you will.

Assuring you of my prayers during this Easter season.

I am sincerely yours in Christ,

+ Earl Boyea
Bishop of Lansing
