Watch: The Election Homily That's Gone Viral

On Sunday, September 27, Father Mathias Thelen, Pastor of Saint Patrick in Brighton, preached a pre-election homily on “The Dignity of Human Life” – the 17-minute sermon now been watched by tens of thousands of viewers around the world on social media.

“Awesome,” was the reaction of the retired Professor of Moral Theology at the Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Dr. Janet Smith, upon watching Father Thelen’s homily.

“The pedagogy is excellent and indicating how Christian principles should direct one's voting is very well done -- and no mention of particular parties or candidates.”

Father Thelen’s homily was the second in a series entitled Principles and Foundation of the Lay Commitment to the Common Good. You can watch the others at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQGXFsAg8gR6LLQ6T-5kGSg
