Of your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Alice Lamiman, Servant of God's Love, who died by accidental drowning at Houghton Lake, Michigan, on Monday, June 22. She was 73 years old. May she rest in peace.
A native of Ypsilanti, Sister Alice was brought up in a Methodist household but was received into the Catholic Church in 1975. Two years later, she entered the Servants of God's Love religious community. In 1982, she made perpetual vows. Sister Alice's last seven years were spent living in the Servants of God's Love mission house in Flint.
The exequies for Sister Alice are as follows:
Visitation this evening, Tuesday, June 30, at Christ the King Church, 4000 Ave Maria Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue tomorrow, July 1, beginning at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, followed by the Requiem Mass at 11 a.m., with Bishop Earl Boyea as principal celebrant. A luncheon will follow. The graveside service and interment will take place at 2 p.m. at Saint John's Cemetery, 1400 N. River Street, Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
