Here are some lovely images of this week’s crowning of Our Lady by Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties at their new Mary Garden in Lansing. Ave Maria!
“Our May Crowning at the Saint Vincent Campus was a beautiful reminder of the strength that comes from faith,” says the charity’s chief executive, Joe Garcia, May 29.
“Honoring our Blessed Mother in community, surrounded by prayer and devotion, reaffirmed the spiritual foundation that carries Catholic Charities forward. Mary’s unwavering ‘yes’ continues to inspire how we serve with humility, courage, and trust in God’s plan.”
The May Crowning took place on Tuesday, May 27. The Saint Vincent Campus of Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton & Clinton Counties (CCIEC) is to be found at 2800 West Willow Street in Lansing.
The new Mary Garden is a community collaboration between CCIEC; the Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan; the Women of Saint Gerard parish in Lansing; and Kanazeh Lawn Service.
Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing was present to bless the new garden. Meanwhile, the children of Saint Gerard Catholic School cheerfully assisted with the Marian coronation.
