Here are some great photos, below, from earlier today as Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing officially installed Stephen Rajzer, above, as the new President of Lumen Christi Catholic School, Jackson, and Executive Director of Jackson Catholic Schools.

“Well, this is certainly an honor, a humble honor,” said Stephen, March 3, Feast of Saint Katharine Drexel, “You know, this is something that I felt called to do by the Lord and I am looking forward to serving the Church in this way.”

As President of Lumen Christi Catholic School, Stephen Rajzer has general charge and control of all the school’s personnel, finances, academics, advancement and fundraising, recruitment and admissions, business affairs, external affairs and community relations, and school related facilities.

“My prayerful hopes are just for long term success,” added Stephen, “This school opened in 1968, and it's been a beacon of hope for the community ever since – respected by Catholics and non-Catholics alike – and I want to continue that wonderful tradition.”

Jackson Catholic Schools is a system of four schools: Lumen Christi, which is grades 7-12, plus three parochial elementary schools: Queen of the Miraculous Medal, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Mary Star of the Sea.
