St. Joseph Church in Adrian is having Bible study classes five different times each week during Lent. Laura Viau, a parishioner, is teaching the sessions – a six-part study from Dr. Scott Hahn and the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology.Kris Schmidt who is attending one of the classes said, “Laura presented the Bible study at Mass a couple of weeks ago. I saw it as an opportunity to learn more about the early Church.”
Viau said, “The Church Fathers practiced their faith and devoted their lives to imitating Christ. They were the ones who passed on the faith in the centuries immediately following Christ.” The fathers taught what they had received from the apostles and their followers. She said it is important to learn about your faith. “You can’t love Jesus, if you don’t know who he is,” said Viau.
