Of your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Eduardo Hermenegildo Lorenzo who died June 2, 2025. He was 93 years old. May he rest in peace.
Eduardo Lorenzo was born in Punta Brava, Havana, Cuba, on April 13, 1932. He was ordained to the sacred priesthood for the Archdiocese of Havana by the Most Reverend Joseph Green, Auxiliary Bishop of Lansing, at Saint Mary Cathedral, Lansing, on January 22, 1966, and was incardinated into the Diocese of Lansing in 1978.
Father Lorenzo served as Parochial Vicar of Cristo Rey, Lansing, in 1966 before being appointed pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Flint, later that year. He held this post until 2002 when he received Senior Priest Status. The exequies for Father Lorenzo are as follows:
Lying in state on Friday, June 6, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2316 Coldwater Road, Flint, MI 48505, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday, June 7, at 11am at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 2316 Coldwater Road, Flint, MI 48505.
