Day 4: Bishop Boyea & The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ

During these uncertain times and as we approach Holy Week and Good Friday, Bishop Earl Boyea is leading us in a daily meditation upon the last seven words of Jesus Christ from the Cross.

Each divine utterance is an endless font of wisdom, inspiration and solace. As St. Augustine observed: “The tree upon which were fixed the members of Him dying was even the chair of the Master teaching.”

Today, Bishop Boyea meditates upon the fourth of Christ’s words from the Cross: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matt. 27:46; Mark 15:34)
