Care Pregnancy Center of Lenawee

The Care Pregnancy Center of Lenawee celebrates 30 years of serving the pregnant woman in this county. Sue Maloy is the interim executive director and client service director of the agency. Women receive free pregnancy tests and counseling.Maloy said, “All of our services are free. Individuals and area churches sponsor us. We are able to share the love of Christ with everyone.” Maloy added that they are a referring agency to help connect the young pregnant woman with other Christian agencies; and receive information from doctors, probation officers and the Department of Human Services.
Many of the young women appreciate the opportunity to earn Baby Bucks by attending parenting classes. In the classes, they learn about the physical changes to themselves and their baby, breast feeding and caring for an infant and toddler. They can use the Baby Bucks to purchase baby diapers, formula, clothes and furniture. Along with being educated about becoming mothers, they can attend Bible study groups.
