I am Randy Koenigsknecht from Most Holy Trinity parish in Fowler. I am currently in my senior year at St. John Vianney Seminary. I decided to apply to the seminary when I was junior in high school. At the time, I was considering what God was calling me to do with my life and as I considered that question, the idea of the priesthood entered my mind. It was not the first time I had thought about becoming a priest but, it was the first time I was willing to take the idea seriously.  As I reflected on that idea, I realized that I desired not just to receive the sacraments but, to share them with other people as a priest.

Once I recognized that desire, I decided that I needed to talk to the vocations director about applying to the seminary. I was still nervous but, I knew it was what God was calling me to do and now in my last year of seminary I can say that God has never let me down and I have not only found great joy but, also peace in the decision to join seminary. I am excited to see what God continues to do in my life as discern his call for my life.
