First grade students at St. Gerard School celebrated National Teddy Bear Day by bringing their Teddy Bears to school. They did reading, writing and science activities to learn about bears. They also read the "Legend of the Teddy Bear" to discover how Teddy Bears were created, and learned it was because of President Theodore Roosevelt.
