Attention All Parish Pastors/Administrators
At this time, all parishes should have sent in their annual Missionary Cooperative Appeal Collection for the Summer of 2010. Please talk with your parish bookkeeper, as their are some still outstanding collections due.
All monies should remain at the parish, as no monies should be given to the missionary.
One week after your parish collection is complete, you will receive a complimentary envelope to send the missionary collection (made payable) to Diocese of Lansing, and sent in care of the Office of Missions. Please mail the monies as early as 30 days after the collection, but no later than 60 days. This allows the process and mailing of the collection to the missionary to be done in a timely manner. Thank you for your cooperation and support of the missionary activity within the Church here and abroad.
All Missionary Cooperative Appeal assignments have been assigned for the Summer of 2011. A representative from the missionary assigned will be contacting the parish to set up a mutually agreed upon date. Once a Summer week-end had been set aside, please contact Dawn at the Office of Missions with the date.
God's blessings to you from the staff at the Office of Missions.
As always, if you should have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact: Dawn at 517-342-2541 or send an email to missions@dioceseoflansing.org. Thank you.
We do not participate with the "Catholic Home Missions"; not to be confused with the Black & Indian Home Missions.
