Worldwide Evangelization includes Latin America, Holy Land, Eastern Europe & Church in Africa:
Church in Latin America – Support for various pastoral projects throughout Latin America and the Caribbean is made possible through this collection.  Projects are at the continental, regional, diocesan and local levels, and include the work of evangelization, formation of laity, religious and seminarians, as well as youth ministry and catechesis

Holy Land – Funds are collected for support of the Holy Places, but above all for those pastoral, charitable, educational and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land for the welfare of their Christian brethren and of the local communities.

Aid to the Church in Central & Eastern Europe – This collection channels aid through the bishops’ conferences of Central and Eastern Europe to meet the needs of rebuilding the Church: training seminarians and lay leaders, reaching out to young people, reviving Catholic charities and renewing programs of catechesis and evangelization.

The Pastoral Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa - Provides grants to finance pastoral projects including outreach programs, schools, evangelization and education of clergy and lay ministers.

Catholic Relief Services
(Bishops’ Overseas) – Provides funding for Catholic Relief Services, USCCB Department of Social Development and World Peace, relief work of the Holy Father, USCCB’s Migration and Refugee Services and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network.

Peter’s Pence
(Collection for the Holy Father) – This collection enables the Holy Father to respond with emergency financial assistance for requests to aid the most needy throughout the world-those who suffer as a result of war, oppression and natural disasters.

American Evangelization(Help Spread The Faith Appeal) – Includes Catholic University which provide academic scholarships and Catholic Communications which fosters evangelization activities in television, radio and other media and special projects of the Catholic press.  Some funds are retained in our Diocese to be used in local communication projects.

Campaign for Human Development – This collection was mandated by the US bishops to address the root causes of poverty in America through promotion and support of community-controlled, self-help organizations and transformative education.

Retirement Fund For Religious – This collection provides restricted grants to any religious institute in the US that has an unfunded past service liability.  It distributes basic, supplemental and special assistance retirement grants from the fund to religious institutes based on a formula and criteria approved by the conferences of major superior and bishops.

For the Office of Missions, please do not combine with any other collections unless they are due to the same office.
