A.K.A. = Mission Cooperative Appeal
Annually and before November 1st each year, each pastor can make a request to have a specific missionary for the Annual M.C.A.. Otherwise, the Office of Missions will assign a missionary to those parishes who do not wish to make one. The Office of Missions will need to know if the pastor will accept the assignment, as the missionary will be notified in January.

At that time, a mutual date will need to be agreed on between the missionary and pastor. Once this is done, the parish is requested to inform the Office of Missions of this appeal date. Please refer to the Appeal Guidelines for further information.

Once the colletion is complete, all monies collected should be record at the parish, as no monies are to be sent with the missionary under no circumstances.

Once this is done, a check made payable to the Office of Missions should be sent in the envelope we will provide to: 300 West Ottawa Street, Lansing, MI 48933, within 30 days of the appeal. All collections should be sent no later than December 1, of any given year, as the Mission Office reports yearly (January - December), not fiscally (July - June).

If you should have any questions, please contact: Dawn at 517-342-2541 or missions@dioceseoflansing.org.
