Welcome to the Department of Education & Catechesis

The Department of Education and Catechesis consists of the offices of Catholic Schools, Catechesis, and Youth Ministry. We provide an integrated approach to the faith formation of adults, teens, and children. Our primary responsibility is working with the leadership engaged in educational and catechetical ministry, as well as to oversee those ministries. Under the Bishop and guided by the policies of the Diocesan Board of Education and Catechesis, the Department provides a wide variety of services.

Other Information

red bullet Retrouvaille - Retrouvaille is a Christian peer ministry to help couples who are struggling in their marriage. Retrouvaille helps couples to reconnect with each other, by taking them through the four stages of marriage. Romance, Disillusionment, Misery and what we call the Reawakening (Forgiveness & Trust). Retrouvaille is truly a gift every couple should give each other. Retrouvaille is presented by three team couples and a Catholic priest. Team couples and the priest are peer ministers who have been through the program. They are not councillors, just couples who believe in the program and want to give back what has been given to them; a chance to truly live a marriage God had intended them to have.
