MERRY 70TH CHRISTMAS
TO ALL IN OUR
DIOCESE OF LANSING

Our first Christmas was in 1937 after the new diocese was created on August 4, 1937. On our 70th Christmas we celebrate with thanksgiving the FAITH, FIDELITY and FORTITUDE of a multitude of Catholics who founded, sustained and expanded our diocese.

The "GOOD WILL" the Angels proclaimed to the Shepherds and us is first God's Will, not ours. God's GOOD WILL toward people is His Son, who became one of us - JESUS.

JESUS is the source of our GOOD WILL toward people. Accepting God's GOOD WILL: JESUS, makes the same GOOD WILL toward others happen in us.

God's GOOD WILL: JESUS continues to shine brightly in the faithful of our diocese. I am profoundly grateful to all our faithful who are one in God's GOOD WILL: JESUS in their love for their diocese and parish in prayer, service and support.

We are blessed with a multitude of people spreading GOOD WILL across our diocese in varied ministries and services, from Altar Service to Senior Citizens and all in between.

This GOOD WILL in loving service creates a true family of God. It touches and blesses thousands. It also touches and sanctifies the messengers of GOOD WILL!

I rejoice in so much GOOD WILL in our diocese. I thank God and YOU on this Holy Feast of the birth of GOOD WILL - JESUS, OUR LORD.

JESUS, God's GOOD WILL toward everyone, abides with us and enables and sends us to spread GOOD WILL to all.
