Lenawee / Hillsdale Vicariate Parish Configurations

Saint Joseph, Adrian, will cluster with Saint Mary of Good Counsel, Adrian (2 priests, 1 of whom is the canonical pastor), when Oblates are no longer able to staff Saint Mary of Good Counsel.

Saint Peter, Blissfield, will cluster with the intention of merging with Saint Alphonsus, Deerfield (1 priest, canonical pastor), when the Oblates are no longer able to staff Saint Alphonsus. UPDATE: Completed by July 1, 2010.

Sacred Heart, Hudson (1 priest), will be the canonical pastor at Saint Mary on the Lake, Manitou Beach (PC and SM), and have back up sacramental responsibility with the promulgation of this plan. UPDATE: Completed September 16, 2008; new request submitted from Saint Mary on the Lake.

Saint Elizabeth, Tecumseh (1 priest), with responsibility for the administration of Saint Dominic Chapel, Clinton (formerly Saint Dominic Church), date of change in status of Saint Dominic’s to be determined by the Vicar. UPDATE: Completed April 19, 2009.

Saint Anthony, Hillsdale (1 priest)

Saint Joseph Shrine, Brooklyn (formerly in Lenawee Vicariate), will cluster with Saint Rita, Clarklake (1 priest, canonical pastor), when the Oblates are no longer able to staff Saint Rita.  Assistance in back up sacramental ministry will be provided by Queen of the Miraculous Medal, Jackson (2 priests).  The two parishes should discuss aligning themselves into one Vicariate. UPDATE: As of July 1, 2010, St. Joseph Shrine is served by St. Joseph, Adrian (2 priests).
