Jackson Vicariate

Saint Joseph Shrine, Brooklyn, will cluster with Saint Rita, Clarklake (1 priest, canonical pastor), when the Oblates are no longer able to staff Saint Rita.  Assistance in back up sacramental ministry will be provided by Queen of the Miraculous Medal, Jackson (2 priests).  The two parishes should discuss aligning themselves into one Vicariate.  UPDATE: As of July 1, 2010, St. Joseph Shrine is served by St. Joseph, Adrian (2 priests).

Saint Joseph, Jackson, will become a territorial parish with the promulgation of this plan.  Parish boundaries will be defined in the near future. If and when necessary, St. Joseph, Jackson, will become a chapel. UPDATE: Completed July 1, 2010.

Saint John the Evangelist, Jackson (2 priests), with responsibility for the administration of Saint Joseph Chapel, Jackson (formerly Saint Joseph Parish, Jackson), when necessary. UPDATE: Completed July 1, 2010.

Saint Mary Star of the Sea, Jackson (1 priest), with responsibility for the administration of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Chapel, Jackson (formerly Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish), and one weekend liturgy in English will begin with the promulgation of this plan and will be completed by a date to be determined. UPDATE: Completed November 19, 2009.

Ministry and liturgy of Sacred Heart Chapel, Jackson, will be moved to Saint Stanislaus Kostka site.  This move will take place at some future date. Following the move, Sacred Heart Chapel site will be closed. UPDATE: Completed June 7, 2009.

Saint Catherine Labouré, Concord (1 priest), with additional responsibility to be determined.
