Ann Arbor’s Jericho March, 40 Days for Life spring campaign and pro-life events

The Jericho March and kickoff rally begins Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in front of Planned Parenthood, 3100 Professional Dr., Ann Arbor. All are welcome to participate in a one-mile Jericho March around the block surrounding Planned Parenthood, as marchers sing, read Scripture and pray. After the march, there will be pro-life speakers. The Seven Sunday Interfaith Jericho March is based on Scripture and continues Sundays from Feb. 26 to April 9 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Beginning Ash Wednesday, March 1 and concluding on Palm Sunday, April 9, there will be a prayer vigil outside Planned Parenthood from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you would like to participate or sign up to pray in one hour time slots, contact Sandie Weathers at 734-657.1936 or

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2250 E. Stadium Blvd., Ann Arbor will host a eucharistic holy hour and rose procession to Planned Parenthood on March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation. Beginning with 9:15 a.m. Mass and followed at 10 a.m. with holy hour and eucharistic adoration, the rose procession to Planned Parenthood will be at 11 a.m. from the church front steps. The distance is 1 1/3 miles and takes about 30 minutes to walk. The rosary and other prayers will be said during the walk and at Planned Parenthood. Sponsoring this special event are: 40 Days for Life Ann Arbor, Catholic Street Evangelization at the University of Michigan and the Knights of Columbus in commemoration of the Day of Prayer for the Unborn Child.
